The Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Ahmed Al-Tayeb Suleiman, visited Al-Nahda camp for displaced people in Atbara locality in River Nile State to assess the situation of the displaced people from El Fasher and Kordofan and to learn about the humanitarian efforts made by the Sudanese Red Crescent Society to alleviate the suffering of the affected people.
The visit included the distribution of non-food items and sanitary tools to the displaced people of the camp, where Ahmed Al-Tayeb Suleiman expressed his pride in the pioneering humanitarian role played by the Society’s volunteers, stressing that they are the backbone of humanitarian work and pointing out the Association’s commitment to continue providing the necessary humanitarian support.
Emam El-Din Mohamed Ahmed, Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society Branch in the River Nile State, stressed the branch’s keenness to provide all humanitarian services, praising the quick response of the Nile River volunteers.
Afaf Taj Al-Sir, Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid in the state, praised the efforts of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in the River Nile State, commending its superior ability to provide humanitarian services to the targeted groups.
