Ramadan 2026 — A Month of Compassion, Solidarity and Giving

As the holy month of Ramadan begins, the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) extends warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to all our community, partners, volunteers and everyone observing this sacred month.

Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion and service to others — values that lie at the very heart of our work. In a period marked by fasting and prayer, we are reminded of the importance of empathy and generosity, especially towards those who face hardship and vulnerability every day.

In 2026, millions of Sudanese families continue to live with the impact of prolonged humanitarian crises and displacement. Across Sudan, many struggle with limited access to food, water, shelter, and basic services — challenges amplified during this month of fasting and spiritual introspection.

During Ramadan, the Sudanese Red Crescent Society reaffirms its commitment to:

  • Serve those most in need with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Provide safe and timely humanitarian assistance, including food support, health services, and water and sanitation support.
  • Stand with displaced families and vulnerable communities who face extraordinary challenges.
  • Uphold the values of humanity — an enduring principle that guides our volunteers and staff throughout the year.

Under the guidance of our dedicated volunteers, SRCS teams will be working across multiple states to ensure that those we assist feel supported not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually throughout the month.

We honour the resilience of every family striving for peace and well-being. In this blessed month, your support — whether through volunteer action, community engagement, or charitable giving — magnifies hope and makes a real difference in the lives of countless people.

On behalf of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, we pray for peace, unity and well-being for all.
